Product Description Bark Free has a specially designed sound selector that lets you choose ultrasonic frequencies which can only be heard by dogs and cats, or lower sound tones audible to human ears. Bark Free uses an old age principle of "Negative Reforcement using Sound" to help train dogs to stop annoyance barking. Tired of Rover barking all the time? Or how about the neighbor's dog keeping you up at night? You need Bark Free, the latest product designed to control dogs' nuisance barking.
No, not another bark control collar!! Bark Free doesn't attach to the dog and "SHOCK". Bark Free sits on the counter or mounts outdoors. It uses a specially designed speaker that picks up a dog's bark and then sends out a corrective tone to keep Fido from waking you up or the neighbors. Persistent barking and bad behavior in dogs is often difficult to cure.
The Bark Free, developed by veterinary technicians in the U.S.A., is a humane and effective way to help cure your pet's behavioral problems. When placed near the neighbor's or your own dog, Bark Free is designed to turn on automatically when barking occurs. Bark Free uses a unique "Bark Pickup Sensitivity Adjustment Selector" which allows the user to set the microphone to activate to the dog's bark. This eliminates the chance of any false sound readings and automatically turns off when barking stops. To determine the best sound frequency for preventing barking, Bark Free also has a specially designed "Audible Sound Selector".

a TOTAL waste of money! July 24, 2010 Philip Mansueto (chicago) this item does NOT even rate 1 star! my dog pays No attention 2 it on sonic mode & on low setting, the sound it emits can deafen a person! i would have returned it if i could have. calling ur Vet will help more than this infernal device. nuisance barking is Already a behavioral problem, not 2 b broken by n e gadget!
Worth the $$ July 23, 2010 Janice Tollefson (Carlton, MN) I have 3 dogs, a small, medium and a large. Once one gets to barking the whole clan follows along in harmony. I had had enough, my threats and hollering just wouldn't stop them. I took a chance and spent a few bucks on the "Bark Free". Amazing how quickly they caught on. One bark from one and no more from any of them. Someone still gets in that one now and then. The only thing I can say is it is very sensitive to sounds, even on low. My husband yelled across the room and it went off. So no screaming in the house please.
Works for me! July 22, 2010 DoodleDad Obviously from the other reviews this does not work for everyone, but it certainly works for me. We have a labradoodle and a border collie that are both house dogs. The labradoodle would bark persistently, and we could not get him to stop. Before going on vacation with family (including a 6 mo. old grandson) I ordered the Lentek Bark Free device-- and it works. The dogs' behavior changed immediately. They just stopped the persistent barking. The baby was not disturbed at all, even though we had several dogs in the room. I used the low sensitivity and the ultra-sonic setting, so all we ever notice is an occasional "click". It sits on the mantle in our den, and the dogs just don't bark. The unit seems to be well made, and includes a bracket to mount it to the wall, and also has an extension cord so you can place it where you need it to be. It may not work for everyone, but let's face it, you've wasted more than the cost of this item on other things-- and if it works for you it is well worth it.
Poor Business! July 19, 2010 Nicole I ordered this product on the 21st of june, and the company didnt even ship off until the 20th of july! to make it even better, they refuse to ship to me at an APO address, so i need to have it shipped elsewhere, if it wasnt taking long enough! if i had known i would have been waiting so long, i wouldnt have purchased this product. even if it works well for me, i still wont recommend it to people. Horrible!
Not great but it's decent. July 19, 2010 P. Fleischer It works OK on the dog in the next yard but not those farther than the 25 feet as indicated in the details. That's to be expected. At first, the dog would bark and then whimper and stop. But it continues to bark later. I would say it has cut down the closest dog's incessant barking, but not entirely. I'd rather have one that shocks the owner's since they're the ones who do nothing about the dog's barking. Product is OK.
